ஜூன் 15 2022 புதன்கிழமையன்று காலை 9:15 சென்னை ஸ்ரீராமகிருஷ்ண மடத்தின் சுவாமி ராமகிருஷ்ணானந்தர் அரங்கத்தில் செவிலியர் கருத்தரங்கம் நடைபெற்றது. விழா வேத கோஷத்துடன் தொடங்கியது. சென்னை ஸ்ரீ ராமகிருஷ்ண மடத்தின் செயலர் சுவாமி தர்மிஷ்டானந்தர் திருமூவருக்கு ஆரதி எடுத்து விழாவைத் துவக்கி வைத்தார். விழாவில் தமிழ்த்தாய் வாழ்த்து பாடப்பட்டது. சுவாமி கருணேஷானந்தர் மற்றும் குழுவினரின் தொடக்க இசையுடன் நிகழ்ச்சி இனிதே தொடங்கியது.

சுவாமி ஸுப்ரஜ்ஞானந்தரின் வரவேற்புரைரின் வரவேற்புரை

சுவாமி ஸுப்ரஜ்ஞானந்தர், வரவேற்புரை ஆற்றினார். ஸ்ரீமத் சுவாமி கௌதமானந்தஜி மகராஜ், சுவாமி தர்மிஷ்டானந்தர்,

சுவாமி சத்யபிரபானந்தர், திரு. திருஞான சிவம், திரு கனகராஜ் மற்றும் பல்வேறு மருத்துவமனையிலிருந்து வந்துள்ள செவிலியர்கள் மற்றும் விருந்தினர்களை வரவேற்றார். செவிலியர் பயிற்சிப் பணியில் 25 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு மேல் திரு கனகராஜ் அவர்கள் தன்னை ஈடுபடுத்திக்கொண்டதை சுட்டிக்காட்டினார். செவிலியர்கள் இரவு பகல் பார்க்காமல் தமது வேலையை சேவையாக ஈடுபாட்டுடன் செய்கிறார்கள் என்று குறிப்பிட்டார்.

திரு. திருஞான சிவம் அவர்களின் உரை

திரு. திருஞான சிவம் ‘செவிலியத்தின் மாண்பும் அதன் அவசியமும்’ என்ற தலைப்பில் சிறப்புச் சொற்பொழிவு ஆற்றினார். தமது உரையில் “செவிலியர்கள் தாய் போன்று நோயாளிகளை கவனிக்கிறார்கள், ஒரு தாய் தன் குழந்தையை மட்டுமே கவனிக்கிறாள் ஆனால் செவிலியர்கள் நோயாளிகள் அனைவரையுமே தம் குழந்தைகளாகவே கவனிக்கிறார்கள். ஒரு நோயாளி குணமடைந்து வெளியே செல்ல வேண்டும் என்றால், ஒரு மருத்துவமனையில் மருத்துவர்களுக்கு நிகரான பொறுப்பும், அர்ப்பணிப்பும் செவிலியர்களுக்கு இருக்கிறது. குறிப்பாக கோவிட் காலங்களில் அவர்களின் சேவை அளப்பரியது. பிளாரன்ஸ் நைட்டிங்கேல் போன்று ஒரு லட்சிய செவிலியராக அனைவரும் திகழ வேண்டும்.” என்று கூறினார்.

திரு கனகராஜ் அவர்களின் உரை

திரு கனகராஜ் அவர்கள் ‘மடத்தின் இலவச செவிலியர் பயிற்சி’ என்ற தலைப்பில் சிற்றுரை ஆற்றினார். தமது உரையில், “ ஸ்ரீராமகிருஷ்ண மடம் மூலம் செவிலியர் பயிற்சி பெறுபவர்கள் பல மருத்துவமனைகளில் செவிலியர்களாக வேலை செய்து வருகிறார்கள். மிகவும் வறுமையில் இருந்த பலர் பயிற்சி பெற்று தனது வாழ்க்கையில் மேன்மை அடைந்துள்ளனர். ஸ்ரீராமகிருஷ்ண மடத்தின் இந்த பணிகளை பயன்படுத்திக் கொண்டு, நல்ல கருத்துகளை மனதில் தாங்கி சுவாமி விவேகானந்தரின் அற்புதமான உபதேசங்களை வாழ்க்கையில் கடைப்பிடிக்க வேண்டும்”, என்று வலியுறுத்தினார்.

சுவாமி தர்மிஷ்டானந்தரின் உரை

ஸ்ரீராமகிருஷ்ண மடத்தின் செயலர் சுவாமி தர்மிஷ்டானந்தர் ‘செவிலியர்கள் மருத்துவமனையின் அச்சாணி’ என்ற தலைப்பில் உரையாற்றினார், “செவிலியர் பயிற்சி ஸ்ரீமத் சுவாமி கௌதமானந்தஜி மகராஜ் அவர்களின் ஆசியுடன் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டது. இது 31 வருடங்களாக தொடர்ந்து நடைபெற்று வருகிறது. சுமார் 3700 மாணவிகளுக்கு ஒரு வருட செவிலியர் பயிற்சி அளிக்கப்பட்டு வருகிறது. 1999 ஆம் ஆண்டு தஞ்சாவூர் மாவட்டத்தில் நிவாரணப் பணிகளுக்குச் சென்றபோது அங்கு மக்களின் வாழ்வாதாரம் மிகவும் பாதிப்படைந்து இருந்தது. அவர்களின் வாழ்வாதாரத்தை உயர்த்த அதே வருடம் முதல் செவிலியர் பயிற்சி வகுப்புகள் ஆரம்பிக்கப்பட்டன. தற்போது 13 மாவட்டங்களில் இந்த பயிற்சி வகுப்புகள் விரிவடைந்துள்ளன. இங்கு பயிற்சி பெற்ற மாணவிகள் செவிலியர்களாக சேவை செய்து வருகிறார்கள். மருத்துவமனைகளில் செவிலியர் பற்றாக்குறை உள்ளது, அதனால் சமூகத்திற்கு உங்கள் பங்களிப்பைச் சேவையாக அளிக்க வேண்டிய தருணங்கள் இவை.” என்று கூறினார்.

இரண்டு செவிலியர்கள் தங்கள் அனுபவங்களைப் பகிர்ந்து கொண்டனர்.

சுவாமி சத்யபிரபானந்தரின் உரை

சுவாமி சத்யபிரபானந்தர் ‘விவேகானந்தர் கூறும் தன்னலமற்ற சேவை’ என்ற தலைப்பில் உரையாற்றினார், “உடலுக்கு உணவு எவ்வளவு அவசியமோ அதேபோன்று மனதிற்கு எண்ணங்கள். எண்ணங்களைத் தூய்மையாகவும் உயர்ந்ததாகவும் வைத்திருப்பது அவசியம். பொதுவாக 5 விதமான பணிகள் புண்ணியம் தரக்கூடியவை. அவை விவசாயம், நெசவு, ஆசிரியர் பணி, செவிலியர் பணி மற்றும் ராணுவம். இந்த அனைத்துத் தொழில்களும் மனித குலத்தின் அத்தியாவசியத் தேவைகள், இந்த சேவைகளைச் செய்பவர்கள் ஆசீர்வதிக்கப்பட்டவர்கள். இந்த சேவையினால் உங்களிடம் உள்ள கருணை பரிவு இவை அனைத்தும் பிரகாசமாகும், இந்த நோக்கத்துடன் சேவையாற்றினால் வாழ்க்கையில் மேன்மை அடைவீர்கள்”, என்று கூறினார்.

ஸ்ரீமத் சுவாமி கௌதமானந்தஜி மகராஜின் ஆசியுரை

ஸ்ரீமத் சுவாமி கௌதமானந்தஜி மகராஜ் தமது ஆசி உரையில் கூறியது: நாம் செய்து கொண்டிருக்கும் வேலை எவ்வளவு உயர்ந்தது என்று நமக்குத் தெரிய வேண்டும். சுவாமி விவேகானந்தர் பலவிதமான கூட்டங்களில் பேசியுள்ளார் ஆனால் அவர் அதிகமாக பேச விரும்பியது செவிலியர்களிடம்தான். ஏனெனில் தங்களின் பணி எவ்வளவு கௌரவம் மிக்கது என்ற எண்ணத்தை அவர்களிடம் உண்டாக்க வேண்டும் என்பதற்காக. இது மாண்பு நிறைந்த பணி என்பதை நீங்கள் புரிந்துகொள்ள வேண்டும். நாம் சாதாரணமானவர்களைப் போல நடந்து கொள்ளாமல் நமது மனம் பரந்ததாக, தன்னலமற்றதாக இருக்க வேண்டும். சம்பளத்தை மனத்தில் கொண்டு வேலை செய்வது தன்னலமற்ற சேவை ஆகாது. ஆனால் சம்பளம் எதுவானாலும் நான் என் வேலையை முழுமையாகச் செய்வேன், இந்த வேலை எனக்கு சந்தோஷத்தைத் தருகிறது என்ற எண்ணத்துடன் செய்வதே தன்னலமற்ற சேவையாகும். நீங்கள் இங்கு கேட்டறிந்த கருத்துக்களை மனதில் பதிய வைத்து வாழ்வில் பயன்படுத்துங்கள். அப்போது உங்களை மற்றவர்கள் சிஸ்டர் என்று கூறாமல் ‘தேவி’ என்றே அழைப்பார்கள்” என்று கூறினார்.

விழாவிற்கு வந்திருந்த சிறப்பு விருந்தினர்களுக்கும் பங்கேற்ற மருத்துவமனைகளுக்கும் நினைவுப் பரிசுகள் வழங்கப்பட்டு கௌரவிக்கப்பட்டது. சுவாமி ஸுப்ரஜ்ஞானந்தர் அவர்களின் நன்றியுரை கூறினார். தேசிய கீதத்துடன் விழா நிறைவுற்றது.

The Programme started at 9.15 a.m. with Veda Parayanam by Monks and Arati to the Holy Trio by Swami Dharmishthananda, followed by the Tamiltai Vazhthu and an opening song by Swami Karuneshananda and team.

Welcome Address by Swami Suprajnananda

Swami Suprajnananda welcomed Srimat Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj, Swami Dharmishthananda, Swami Satyaprabhananda, Dr. Thirugnasivam, Sri Kanagaraj, Nurses and guests from various hospitals. He mentioned that Sri Kanagaraj has been actively coordinating this service for over 25 years. Nursing is a profession where one does one’s work day and night as a service without any limitations.

Speech by Dr. Thirugnasivam

Dr. Thirugnasivam delivered a special talk on ‘Greatness of Nursing and its importance'. In his speech, he said, "Nurses look after patients like a mother, a mother will take care of her child alone but a nurse will look after all the patients as her own children. If a patient is to recover, nurses have the same responsibility and commitment as Doctors in a hospital. Their service was tremendous, especially during the COVID-19 period. Everyone should aspire be an ambitious nurse like Florence Nightingale.”

Speech by Sri Kanagaraj

Mr. Kanagaraj gave a short talk on ‘Math’s Free Nursing Assistants Training services’. In his speech, he said, “Nurse trained through Sri Ramakrishna Math are employed in many hospitals. Many of those who have been trained were earlier in extreme poverty, but now they have excelled in their life. We should make use of these services of Sri Ramakrishna Math and follow the wonderful teachings of Swami Vivekananda and make our life more ambitious.”

Speech by Swami Dharmishthananda

Swami Dharmishthananda, Manager, Sri Ramakrishna Math, spoke on the topic ‘Nurses: Axles of Hospital’. In his speech, he mentioned, “The training of nurses was started with the blessings of Srimat Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj. This has been going on since 31 years. More than 3700 students are being trained every year. When Sri Ramakrishna Math was doing relief work in 1990 in Thanjavur district, it came to notice that the livelihood of the people there was severely affected. So the Nurse training classes were started in that same year to enhance their livelihood. Currently these training classes have been extended to 13 districts in Tamil Nadu. The students trained here are serving as competent nurses. There is a shortage of nurses in hospitals, so these are the moments to do your part to serve the community.”

Speech by Swami Satyaprabhananda

Swami Satyaprabhananda, Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama, T Nagar spoke on ‘Selfless Service according to Swami Vivekananda’. In his speech he mentioned, “Thoughts are as important to the mind as food to the body. It is important to keep the thoughts pure and high. There are 5 types of work which are blessed. They are Agriculture, Weaving, Teaching, Nursing and Military. All these works are essential needs of mankind and those who do these services are indeed blessed. When you work with compassion it’ll reflect in your outlook towards life and you will definitely excel in life if you work with this attitude to serve.”

Benedictory Address by Srimat Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj

Srimat Swami Gautamanandaji, Vice President, Ramakrishna Math and Mission, and Adhyaksha, Chennai Math, said in his benedictory address that “We need to know the value of the work that we are doing. Swami Vivekananda had spoken at various meetings but he mostly wanted to talk to the Nurses because he wanted to make them realize how dignified their work is. You have to understand that this is a noble task. Our mind should be broad and selfless so that we do not behave like ordinary people. Working with salary in mind is not selfless service. But no matter what the salary, I will do my job to the fullest and doing this job with the idea that it gives me happiness is selfless service. Keep in mind the ideas you heard here and apply them in your life. Then people will start calling you as ‘Devi’ instead of 'Sister'”

Vote of thanks by Swami Suprajnananda. Special guests who attended the program and the hospitals which participated were honoured by presenting them with souvenirs. The ceremony ended with the National Anthem.
