As part of the centenary celebrations of the Ramakrishna Math Charitable Dispensary, the medical wing of Sri Ramakrishna Math, Chennai, a Mega Medical Camp was successfully organized on Saturday, 29th March 2026 at the Math’s Rural Development Centre in Meyyur.

The camp was conducted to address the healthcare needs of residents from 15 surrounding villages, bringing essential medical services closer to rural communities.

This noble initiative was carried out in collaboration with Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research Centre.

Comprehensive medical services were provided across a wide range of specialties, including:

General Medicine
Dental
Pediatrics
Dermatology
Cardiology
Diabetology
ENT
Nephrology

In addition to medical consultations, diagnostic services were also offered. A total of 35 ECGs and 19 ECHOs were conducted, benefiting 54 individuals.

Overall, 200 patients received medical care through the camp.

To ensure holistic support and accessibility, free medicines and nutritious meals were provided to all attendees.

Mega Medical Camp at Meyyur – A Centenary Initiative of the Charitable Dispensary
As part of the centenary celebrations of the Ramakrishna Math Charitable Dispensary, the medical wing of Sri Ramakrishna Math, Chennai, a Mega Medical Camp was organized at the Math’s Rural Development Centre in Meyyur on Saturday, 26th July 2025. The camp catered to the medical needs of people from 15 surrounding villages.
This noble initiative was conducted in collaboration with Sri Ramachandra Medical College and Research center.

Comprehensive medical services were provided in the following specialties:

* General Medicine
* Eye Care
* Dermatology
* Cardiology
* Diabetology

In addition to consultations, ECG and ECHO tests were conducted for approximately 150 individuals. Overall, 604 people benefited from the camp.
Free medicines, nutritious meals, and transport facilities were provided to all patients, ensuring complete care and accessibility.

The Centenary Celebrations of the Ramakrishna Math Charitable Dispensary took place on 22nd March 2025, marking 100 years of selfless service to the community. The event was graced by the inauguration of the newly renovated Sarada Dental Block by the Most Revered Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj, President of Ramakrishna Math & Mission worldwide.

The occasion also saw the inauguration of the new Vivekananda Pharmacy by Thiru Ma. Subramaniyan, Hon’ble Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Government of Tamil Nadu. The event was Starated with a warm welcome address by Swami Satyajnanananda, Adhyaksha of Sri Ramakrishna Math, Chennai, followed by an insightful video presentation showcasing 100 years of the dispensary's service.

The Most Revered President Maharaj released a special souvenir, marking this significant milestone. Notable speakers included Swami Jnanavratanandaji Maharaj, Trustee of Ramakrishna Math, Belur Math; Swami Atmapriyanandaji Maharaj, Pro Chancellor of Ramakrishna Mission Vivekananda Educational and Research Institute, Belur; Padmabhushan Awardee Dr. Nalli Kuppuswami Chettiar, a renowned philanthropist and industrialist; and Dr. Uma Sekhar, Vice Chancellor of Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research, Chennai.

The event concluded with a benediction by the Most Revered President Maharaj, followed by an enriching Hindustani musical concert by Dr. Dattatreya Velankar, an accomplished Hindustani Classical performer and academician from Bangalore. The celebrations were a testament to the enduring legacy of the Ramakrishna Math Charitable Dispensary and its impactful service to society.

ஜெயந்தி விழாவின் ஒரு பகுதியாக, (செவ்வாய், 21 பிப்ரவரி 2023) மதியம், சென்னை அரசு ராயப்பேட்டை பொது மருத்துவமனையில் சுமார் 200 (70 பெண்கள் + 110 ஆண்கள் + 15 குழந்தைகள்) புற்றுநோயாளிகளுக்கு ஆப்பிள் மற்றும் ஆடைகள் (நைட்டிகள்) வழங்கப்பட்டது. , ஓரங்கள்). சுவாமி சசிஷிகானந்த மகராஜ் மற்றும் சுவாமி குணசாகரானந்த மகராஜ் ஆகியோர் விநியோகம் செய்தனர். சுவாமிகள்' விவேகானந்தா இளைஞர் மன்றம், ஸ்ரீ ராமகிருஷ்ண மடத்தைச் சேர்ந்த இளைஞர்கள் குழுவுடன் வந்திருந்தனர்.

Sri Ramakrishna Jayanthi celebrations.

As a part of the Jayanthi celebrations, (Tuesday, 21 st February 2023) in the afternoon, about 200 (70 women patients + 110 men + 15 children) cancer patients of Government Royapettah General Hospital, Chennai were distributed with apples and dresses (Nighties, Skirts).  Swami Sashishikananda  Maharaj and Swami Gunasagarananda Maharaj distributed the same. Swamis' were accompanied by a group of youngsters from VIVEKANANDA YOUTH FORUM, Sri Ramakrishna Math Chennai.
Apple fruits distributed to male patients. sweet prasad given to Doctors and duty nurse and other  staff.
Swami Vivekananda ' s teachings - flashes, small booklet distributed to all..
The program concluded with universal wellbeing prayers at NAGAAATHAMMAN (DIVINE MOTHER) TEMPLE, inside the hospital premises.
