Catch Them Young 58th & 60th batches

On 23rd & 25th Nov 2022, 186 students studying in 8th-9th-10th Std. from The Hindu Senior Secondary School, Triplicane Chennai, attended a two-day interactive workshop on Life Skills/Value Education.  

A transformational session on Life Skills was conducted by Varsha ji, Resource Person for the first session on both days. 


On 23rd Nov, Dr Krishnaveni Hariram, led the second session with a beautiful comparison –citing similarities in the teachings of Youth Icon–Swami Vivekananda and the ancient teachings of Sage Thiruvalluvar (Tamil Saint) with the emphasis on Indian culture and how to bring back the ancient glory of Bharath-the ancient cultural name of India. 


On 25th Nov, Kumari Lavanya Dheera, volunteer and Resource Person for many programs in VCC, who is also a classical singer (M.Phil.-Music), conducted the second session on the significance of Indian culture in modern times. 

All participants were then taken on a guided tour of the "Experience Vivekananda" Museum, which culminated in a "Silent Meditation" for one minute in the room where Swami Vivekananda had stayed for nine days from 6th to 15th Feb 1897!
