The sacred task of carrying Swami Vivekananda's message through his disciples and devotees to the current generation deserves a penetrating study. Taking up this formidable task, that also after a century, the devoted and distinguished descendants of those great devotees of Swami Vivekananda have joined hands with the Ramakrishna Order of monks.

Their glorious ancestors were instrumental in sending the Prophet of this age, Swami Vivekananda, to the Parliament of the World Religions held in Chicago in 1893. They were also the part and parcel of the revival of Indian Nationalism and Vedic traditional values. They are the pioneers of worldwide activities of Ramakrishna Mission. They were the mighty carriers and promoters of Swami Vivekananda's message.

The valuable records of these nation-builders, chronicling their lesser-known trials and triumphs, have been entrusted by their worthy successors to the Vivekananda Digital Archives of RKMVERI at Belur Math.

In recognition of their contributions, RKMVERI, in collaboration with Sri Ramakrishna Math in Mylapore, will honour these esteemed inheritors of the treasure-trove. The Chennai Math took the lead in initiating this ongoing research endeavor as far back as 1997 and graciously digitized and provided those archives to RKMVERI. Subsequent research endeavors have been conducted.
