Sri Ramakrishna Math Vivekananda Centenary Girls Higher Secondary School was started in commemoration of the Centenary Celebrations of Swami Vivekananda on 19th July 1962 by Sri Ramakrishna Math, Chennai.
Most of the students are from the socio-economically deprived Mint area in North Chennai and the Math is successfully helping them join the mainstream. In 2008, the school was upgraded to Higher Secondary School and provided with all facilities including a fully equipped lab and computers.
