Date: 28.01.2025 (17th Batch) Valedictory function
On Tuesday, 28th Jan 2025, the Valedictory function for the 17th batch of the Graphic Design Course was held in the Ramakrishnananda Hall at Vivekananda Cultural Centre (VCC). The function began with Flower Offering/Lamp Lighting & Arati to the Holy Trio by Br. Vānīshachaitanya, Director-VCC, and Chief Guest Sri Karuppiah A, Deputy General Manager (Civil) & Nodal Officer (CSR) - Kamarajar Port Limited, joined by other dignitaries. This was followed by the universal prayer by students. The valediction was honored by Sri Udhaya Shankar P, Senior Subject Leader (R&D)-3D Department from Image Corporate Group-Chennai, our Training partner.
The function was conducted to validate the successful completion of the course by 26 participants from Bharathi Women’s College of Arts and Science led by the Course Instructor Smt. Shalini, Faculty at Image Infotainment Limited. The faculty and the participants shared their experiences of learning the various aspects of Graphic design and upgrading their skill sets in the Holy Ambience of VCC with classes led by Universal prayers and a daily Quotation of Swami Vivekananda. They also expressed their heartfelt gratitude to our donors Kamarajar Port Limited, the VCC team, and Image faculty Smt Shalini for providing them with this rare opportunity to upgrade their skills and become empowered and job-ready.
Sri Karuppiah ji, who is an illustrious alumnus of IIT Madras, gave much importance to the theme of women's empowerment for stability in the home and society as stressed by respected Smt J P Irene Cynthia, IAS; MD-Kamarajar Port Limited, who kindly approved the funding of this course and related projects. He wished that all the women participants who had successfully completed this course would first take up a suitable job and empower themselves -the very purpose of their sponsoring such noble endeavours.
Sri Udhaya Shankar Ji and Smt Shalini Ji from the Image team also reiterated their commitment to assist all these students in getting good placement opportunities to create a good career path for themselves and take care of their families.
In his vote of thanks, Br. Vānīshachaitanya Maharaj, reinforced and emphasized the value of Women's Empowerment to support their families first and serve the nation, before entering into family life (as is the usual course of most women in our country).
The function closed with the distribution of Certificates to the students by Chief Guest Sri Karuppiah along with Sri Selvaraj, Manager (Civil) followed by a group photo. Sri Rathna Kumar Asst. Manager (Civil) coordinated the program from the side of Kamarajar Port Limited.
