On March 17, 2024, Sri Ramakrishna Math Chennai hosted an exclusive program tailored for the legal fraternity, titled "My India, The India Eternal." The event commenced with floral offerings, the lighting of lamps, and the rendition of the Tamil Thai Vazhthu. Swami Gunasagarananda set the tone with an opening song, followed by a warm welcome address by Swami Dharmishthananda.
A highlight of the morning session was the special talk delivered by Justice Ms. P.T. Asha, an Hon’ble Judge from the High Court of Madras, who spoke on the profound theme, ‘They alone live who live for others.’ This was complemented by brief talks from Hon’ble Justice L.S. Sathyamurthy and Advocate V. Srikant.
Swami Raghunayakananda, the Director of the Vivekananda Culture Centre in Chennai, further enriched the discourse with his special talk on ‘Unselfishness is Godliness.’ The session also included a guided meditation led by Swami Shashishikhananda, emphasizing the importance of introspection and inner peace.
Justice Thiru. N. Seshasayee, another Hon’ble Judge from the High Court of Madras, delivered a thought-provoking talk on ‘Dharma in the Legal Profession,’ aligning it with the timeless teachings of Swami Vivekananda. The Presidential Address by Swami Vimokshanandaji, President of Ramakrishna Math, Yelagiri, provided a fitting conclusion to the morning session.
Feedback from the participants was encouraged, reflecting the interactive and participatory nature of the event. The program concluded with a closing song performed by Swami Shankaratmananda, followed by the rendition of the National Anthem. All attendees were then graciously served with prasadam.
