The lives and teachings of Sri Ramakrishna and Swami Vivekananda continue to inspire countless individuals with various backgrounds. Unfortunately, their growing prominence also leads to the spread of rumours and fabricated sayings. Previously, a fake news story about Swami Vivekananda's original voice gained traction in social media. The life events and teachings of the Holy Trio are often inaccurately quoted, misconstrued, or wrongly credited in both digital and print media, even by well-known persons and publications. The advent of social media has made the situation even worse. This is for this simple reason that any news right or wrong spreads with so much rapidity that by the time any wrong information about the Holy Trio and the Ramakrishna Movement comes to our knowledge and we correct them, we find that they have already reached the people at large. Because of all this, it is becoming more and more difficult nowadays for the common people to distinguish between the real and the fake information.
To address this problem, Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission has launched a digital platform, publications.rkmm.org, in tune with modern trends.
The platform offers free access to the lives and teachings of Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Sarada Devi, Swami Vivekananda, and other related literature in English and major Indian languages.
This valuable resource site will also give you a virtual presentation of a curated collection of materials associated with our Holy Trio and the great direct disciples of Sri Ramakrishna which are preserved in Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission centres worldwide. You may well understand the great archival value of these materials.
