Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj was elected as the 17th President of Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission by the board of trustees of the math and the governing body of the mission, at the meeting held at Belur Math on Wednesday. He will succeed Swami Smarananandaji Maharaj, who passed away on March 26.
