Batch: 39th Batch
Valedictory function of 39th batch of Thanjavur Painting Course.
The Valedictory session of the 39th batch of Thanjavur Painting Course (Weekdays) was held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025. The Course Instructor, encouraged the participants to continue their practice even after the course got over. This was not the end of the course, but the beginning of their association with VCC & the greater Ramakrishna Math family as friends and volunteers. All were encouraged to spread the good word about this course among their circle of family and friends.
The participants praised the art and drawing instructors for their thoughtful and patient teaching style. One participant mentioned how much she enjoyed finishing the painting in the calm and serene ambience of VCC at a very nominal fee, whereas the costs in many other
places she had been were exorbitant—and she couldn't even finish the paintings.
In his Benedictory address, Swami Ishapremananda ji Maharaj, a senior monk and Incharge of Vivekanandar Illam highlighted the importance of cultivating excellence in any art form–which directly takes us to the feet of the Divine.
As this 16th-century traditional art-form requires a greater degree of maturity level and depth of understanding and lots of patience and minute skills, any enthusiastic student from 18 to 60 years can join this course!
