On Sunday - 20th Oct 2024, Valedictory session was conducted for participants of the 37th and 38th batches (Week day and Weekend) of Thanjavur Painting Course. Participants shared their learnings of how they overcame their initial hesitation and fears to draw and paint this ancient art-form in the Holy Ambience of Vivekananda Cultural Centre. The participants complimented both the drawing and art teachers on their patient teaching style.
A special guest, Smt Lakshmi Raghavan was invited for the gathering who shared her insights on Thanjavur painting.
In his Benedictory address, Swami Ishapremananda ji Maharaj (Incharge of V. House Museum) highlighted the importance of the art forms to unite with God.
As this 16th century traditional art-form requires a greater degree of maturity level and depth of understanding and lots of patience and minute skills, any enthusiastic student from 18 to 60 years can join this course!
