On November 9th, 2022 (Wednesday), Smt. Varsha Sundararajan, an ardent volunteer and devotee of Sri Ramakrishna Math, in the presence of Swami Raghunayakananda ji, Director of Vivekananda Cultural Centre (VCC), and 10 participants, began this season's Learn Thiruppavai (Hymns composed by a great devotee named Kodai Nachiyar or Andal ) classes by offering flowers to Holy Trio pictures. The pasurams (chants with specific metres in Tamil) must be completed before–Margazhi Masam–(ancient Tamil language), which translates to December-January in modern English.
The classes are being conducted at Vivekananda Cultural Centre-Triplicane. All are welcome irrespective of caste, creed, race or gender in all the centres of Ramakrishna Math and Mission (Worldwide 265+ centres and growing)!
