Valedictory Function of the 14th Batch of Mala Grathana (Garland Stringing) at Vivekananda Cultural Centre
 
The valedictory function of the 14th batch of Mala Grathana (Garland Stringing) workshop was held on 9th Nov 2025 at the Vivekananda Cultural Centre (VCC), with a total of 17 enthusiastic participants completing the course successfully. The workshop was conducted for 2 days (8th and 9th Nov 2025).
The program commenced with an auspicious Ārati performed by Br. Vanishachaitanya Maharaj, Director of VCC, invoking divine blessings for the occasion. Following the invocation, Ms. K. Krishnaveniworkshop trainer, shared her valuable feedback about the participants’ sincere involvement, creativity, and growing devotion reflected through their work.
Each participant then had the opportunity to share their personal feedback and experiences, expressing gratitude for the guidance received and for the spiritually enriching environment that transformed a simple art form into an act of devotion.
In his address to the participantsBr. Vanishachaitanya Maharaj highlighted the spiritual significance of Mala Grathana, explaining how stringing garlands is not merely a craft but a form of worship, symbolizing the offering of one’s love, concentration, and devotion to God. He encouraged everyone to continue practicing the art with reverence and mindfulness, integrating spirituality into daily life.
The session concluded with the distribution of certificates to all participants in recognition of their successful completion of the workshop, followed by a joyful group photo, capturing the spirit of learning, devotion, and togetherness that marked the event.
The valedictory function thus served as a fitting conclusion to yet another fruitful batch of Mala Grathana, inspiring participants to carry forward this sacred art with devotion and dedication.

Batch: 13th Batch (Valedictory Function of Mala Grathana20-07-2025
The two days’ workshop was conducted successfully with 19 number of registered participants ranging from 16 to 60 years of age in the
Ramakrishnananda Hall of VCC. The workshop was inaugurated on the first day with flower offering, waving incense sticks, and Arati to Holy Trio.
The workshop was conducted by Smt.Krishnaveni Ji. and assisted by Smt. Nirmala Ji, volunteer. Course Instructor and participants collaborated jointly with VCC to make this event joyful. Basic saram and different patterns (more than 12) of stringing were taught to the participants.
This workshop emphasizes the need for traditional activities for transforming one’s life into a higher state of being by invoking oneself into meditation and to serve Humanity and God.
In the valedictory session Smt.Krishnaveni shared her experiences with this batch of students and also thanked for their active participation like a family. We received a beautiful and overwhelming feedback from the students. In his concluding remarks Director Maharaj Ji of VCC discussed the importance and deep insights of Mala Grathana and thanked the students, course instructor, volunteers and distributed the certificates.
During the workshop tea, snacks, and lunch prasadam were served on both the days.

Batch: 12th Batch (1st & 2nd March 2025)
The Two Days workshop was conducted successfully with 7 number of registered participants ranging from 16 to 60 years of Age. The workshop was conducted by Smt.Krishnaveni Ji. And assisted by Smt. Nirmala Ji, volunteer. Course Instructor and participants collaborated jointly with VCC to make this event Joyful.
Basic Saram and different patterns of Stringing was taught to the participants.
This Workshop emphasizes the need for traditional activities for transforming one’s life into a higher state of being by invoking oneself into meditation and to serve Humanity and God.
Certificates were distributed to all the students after the workshop.
During the workshop Tea & snacks, and Lunch Prasadam was served on both the days. 
With a beautiful feedback of the students session was completed successfully.
