On 9th and 10th August 2025, the "Om Ganeshay Namah" two-day Clay Sculpting workshop was conducted at the Vivekananda Cultural Centre, with over 100 enthusiastic participants ranging from young (7 yrs) children to elderly (75+ yrs) art lovers. The sessions were led by renowned artist Shri. Lovely Karupayya.
The first batch workshop on 9th August was held at the Nivedita Auditorium, while the second batch on 10th August took place on the terrace, 2nd floor of the VCC building.
Each session began with a prayer, followed by an introduction to the workshop and the instructor. Step-by-step, participants shaped their own Ganesha idols, completing the sculptures in just two and a half hours, which is very appreciative for both taught and the teacher.
After finishing, participants offered flowers to their respective cute Ganesha idols made by own hands, devotional bhajans were sung, creating a spiritually uplifting atmosphere.
The event concluded with a group photograph, after which prasadam was distributed to all attendees.
The workshop was not only a celebration of creativity but also an offering of devotion in the spirit of Ganesh Chaturthi.
