From January 5–9, 2024, Sri Ramakrishna Math along with SAKSHAM Savita organized a pilgrimage for 34 Leprosy Cured but Deformed Persons (LCDPs) to Palakkad and Coimbatore. The journey, part of the Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) program, aimed to promote spiritual enrichment and inclusion.
In Palakkad, the group visited many temples, Palakkad Fort, Malampuzha Dam, and Santhigiri Ashram. Cultural programs by local volunteers and interactions with students at Santhigiri Ayurvedic Medical College added value. In Coimbatore, visits to Marudamalai Temple and Isha Yoga Centre provided deep spiritual experiences.
Seamless arrangements by SAKSHAM teams ensured comfort, dignity, and inclusion throughout the trip. LCDPs contributed a humble donation to a centre supporting visually challenged individuals. The pilgrimage left participants with lasting memories of peace, connection, and empowerment.
