*Brief report
The Pictorial and Book Exhibition was inaugurated by Retd. Justice Sri. Ramanathan. He spoke about the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda and he sponsored 400 books of ‘Vivekanandarin Arivuraigal’ to 11th and 12th standard students of the school. Three school students dressed up as Swami Vivekananda, Sri Ramakrishna and Ma Sarada Devi took part in the exhibition. (see photo). Students’ participation and involvement in the exhibition was very good. Students participated in the quizzes and seminars on Swami Vivekananda’s life and teachings and won book prizes. The School Principal and teachers gave good support and provided home-cooked food for volunteers for all three days of the event. There was also very good sales of books based on Swamiji’s messages to youth and students amounting to around Rs. 24000/-.
