*Brief report:
The programme was inaugurated on the auspicious occasion of Ma Sarada Devi’s Jayanti Day. Students and parents responded very well and came in large numbers. The students participated very enthusiastically in the programme. They eagerly went through the books and pictorial panels and the books sales were massive. After the first day, once the students became acquainted with the VYF members, they quickly grasped the details and came forward as volunteers. It was them who ran the show on the last day.
Ramakrishna Mission Students’ Home volunteers also responded very well and gave good support. Sri. Shivakumar Kottilingam, a long-time member of VYF, managed the exhibition very well. Sri. Subburaj, also a volunteer, gave motivational talks to 9th standard students. Ms. Andal, the school librarian and a subject teacher, ensured that all arrangements were made and was a great support to the volunteers. The event was a huge success.
