The 158th Birthday Tithipuja of Swami Vivekananda was celebrated with Special Puja and Homa in a grand manner at the Math on Friday, 17th January 2020 according to the Almanac.

There were chanting, reading from the life and teachings from Swami Vivekananda in English, Tamil, Bengali, bhajans by monastics, devotees, and students from Vivekananda centenary Girl High School.

At 3.30 pm Rudra parayanam was chanted by the Maharudra Rudra parayan samiti, Mylapore, which followed by Pushpanjali and bhasma archana by the devotees. After the evening arati to Bhagavan Sri Ramakrishna, there were special discourses on Swami Vivekananda delivered by Swami Tyagananda, Minister In Charge, Ramakrishna Vedanta Society, Boston and Most revered Swami Gautamananda ji Maharaj in English and Tamil respectively.

Prasad was distributed to more than 3500 devotees.
