Swami Vivekananda, after the triumphant tour of the west returned to India in the last week of January 1897. At Madras, Swamiji sanctified the present Vivekananda House by his stay from 6th to 14th February 1897. Those 9 days are now celebrated as “Vivekananda Navarathri”. To commemorate these holy days of Swamiji’s stay, from February 6th to 14th 2016. Several programmes were held at Vivekananda House.
