Vivekananda Navaratri 2024 commenced on the auspicious 6th of February at Vivekananda Illam in Chennai, marking the celebration of the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda. The event was inaugurated with traditional Vedic chanting, the ceremonial lighting of the lamp by esteemed dignitaries, and the melodious rendition of Arati.

The atmosphere resonated with cultural fervor as the gathering immersed themselves in the soulful rendition of the Tamil Thai Vazhthu. The event unfolded with an opening song by the talented Swami Shankaratmananda, setting the tone for a spiritually enriching celebration.

Swami Dharmishthananda, the Manager of Sri Ramakrishna Math, Chennai, extended a warm welcome to the attendees, expressing gratitude for their presence. The luminaries present were then honored, adding to the sanctity of the occasion.

The Chief Guest, Sri K. Parasaran, a distinguished Senior Advocate from Chennai, delivered a thought-provoking Special Address, sharing insights and wisdom. The event continued with Felicitation Addresses by eminent personalities - 'Padmasri' K. Nalli Kuppusamy Chetti, an Industrialist and Philanthropist; Sri K. Ramaswamy, Director of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chennai; and Sri S. Varadarajan, Ex-Chairman of Bharat Petroleum.

The culmination of the event was graced by the Benediction delivered by Srimat Swami Gautamanandaji Maharaj, Vice-President of Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission and Adhyaksha of Sri Ramakrishna Math, Chennai. His words resonated with spiritual wisdom, leaving a profound impact on the hearts of the attendees.

The cultural celebration reached its zenith with a mesmerizing music concert by Vidhushi Smt Gayathri Venkataraghavan, captivating the audience with her soul-stirring melodies.
